THALIA GOLDEN CENTRE

The Context

Thalia Golden Center is a mixed-use commercial development located along Tahlia Road, in the Al Andalus district of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Positioned within one of the city’s most prestigious commercial corridors, the project occupies a strategic urban site characterized by a vibrant mix of retail, hospitality, offices, and residential developments.

The surrounding context combines the dynamic character of Tahlia Road with the more intimate scale of the neighboring urban fabric. The project responds to this duality by creating a contemporary landmark that strengthens the relationship between the public realm and the private commercial environment while contributing to the ongoing transformation of Jeddah envisioned by Saudi Vision 2030.

The Concept

The design of GREEN WORX embodies the principles of sustainability, flexibility, and quality of life. Conceived as a multifunctional complex combining offices, retail, and hotel use, the project integrates green surroundings with efficient design solutions to create a healthy and productive environment. The four building volumes can be interconnected through glass bridges, offering adaptable configurations for both open-plan and cellular offices. Daylight-filled workspaces, inner courtyards, and rooftop terraces foster well-being, communication, and a strong relationship between interior spaces and the natural environment.

The Project

Mixed-Use Program

The development combines premium retail spaces, flexible office floors, shared amenities, and landscaped terraces within a compact urban footprint. The lower levels activate the street with transparent commercial frontages, while the upper floors accommodate contemporary office environments designed to maximize flexibility, natural light, and user well-being.

Climate-Responsive Architecture

The design responds directly to Jeddah’s hot climate through passive environmental strategies. Deep recesses, vertical shading fins, high-performance glazing, and landscaped terraces reduce solar gain while maintaining generous daylight and outward views. The integration of outdoor spaces provides informal meeting areas and enhances the overall working environment.

Urban Presence

More than a commercial building, Thalia Golden Center is conceived as a new urban destination. The sculpted massing, transparent ground floor, and carefully articulated façade create a recognizable architectural identity while respecting the scale of the surrounding neighborhood. The project establishes a contemporary image that reflects the city’s ambition toward innovation, quality, and sustainable urban development.

Thalia Golden Center represents a contemporary interpretation of mixed-use architecture, where urban integration, environmental performance, and spatial quality converge to create a distinctive destination for business and commerce. Through a careful balance of sculptural massing, climate-responsive design, and refined materiality, the project contributes to the evolving architectural identity of Jeddah while offering flexible and vibrant spaces for everyday life.
