Al Nahdi Flagship Store

The Context

The Al Nahdi Flagship Store project is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and falls under the healthcare retail category. Developed as a concept design for a tender, the project responds to a complex urban context, where surrounding buildings present a variety of forms and visual identities. The client for this project is Al Nahdi Medical Company, with INEA srl acting as consultant.

The Concept

The design concept aims to create a landmark building that stands out clearly within a heterogeneous urban environment. The primary goal was to establish a recognizable identity for the Al Nahdi brand while integrating seamlessly with the surrounding cityscape.

The solution employs a strong visual contrast: a continuous glazed façade opens the store to the public and showcases transparency and accessibility, while solid walls on three sides, colored in the signature tones of Al Nahdi pharmacies, reinforce brand identity and create a sense of enclosure.

The Project

Façade and Branding

The main architectural feature is the uninterrupted glazed façade, which maximizes visibility and daylight inside the store. The surrounding solid walls provide a coherent frame, emphasizing the building’s landmark status and creating a strong visual connection with the brand.

Interior and Retail Layout

Although the project was developed at the concept stage, the design emphasizes efficient circulation, clear wayfinding, and functional retail zoning. The transparent façade ensures a strong visual link between interior and exterior, inviting customers into a modern, welcoming retail environment.

Urban Presence

The store is designed to stand out in a complex urban fabric, where neighboring structures have varied forms. The combination of transparency, solidity, and brand-specific color creates a building that is immediately recognizable and memorable, reinforcing Al Nahdi’s identity within the city.

This concept design establishes a clear, strong, and modern retail presence for Al Nahdi in Jeddah, combining brand visibility, urban integration, and customer-oriented spatial planning.
