The Context
In 2013, Aeroporti di Roma (ADR) launched an international competition to rethink the image and functionality of the restrooms inside Leonardo da Vinci Airport. The winning project, developed by Studio Muzi & Associati, is set within a context of high traffic and visibility, where the quality of the passenger experience is essential.

The Concept
The new concept aims to transform traditional restrooms into sensory and emotional spaces, offering environmental comfort and cutting-edge technology. The approach combines the excellence of Italian design with functional solutions, creating environments that meet high architectural and performance standards — qualities rarely associated with airport service areas.
